When it all feels like too much
From the moment we wake up to the time in which we close our eyes we are constantly being fed competing information. Maybe you struggle with turning the TV on due to the negativity that you believe you will see. Perhaps your social media feed has turned from cute pictures of dogs to hyper political viewpoints making your feel more disconnected from others than ever before. No matter the reason it’s time for a change!
Trying to find the light
Now that we know there needs to be a change it is natural to try and figure it out on our own. But much like when we try to find the light switch in the middle of the night, life always makes sure that the coffee table is not where
we remember it being, or that there is one lone proverbial Lego waiting for our foot to find. To make matters worse in our fits of impotent rage, we lash out and cause more damage to ourselves before collapsing in a heap, wondering
why we even got out of bed in the first place.
Knowing when to say “I don’t know”
This is one of the most difficult phrases to say. Being able to admit when we are out of our depth can be a powerful moment in an individual’s path to a better life. Many times we don’t know what knowledge we lack. Yet when we open
ourselves up to others we find that we do not have to have all the answers, we just need to be willing to listen to someone who may.
Life’s too short not to enjoy the ride
Life is also too serious not to make fun of it along the way. No matter what has come your way, one thing is for sure, you will come out of the other end. So let’s work together to create a better you. Let’s poke fun at life as it
tries to poke back. But above all else, let’s make like Elsa and T-Swift and Let it go and Shake it off!
