When you were born, you instinctively knew to cry. The cry let air in your lungs and signaled to the adults around you that you needed help. Somewhere between then and now, many of us learned that asking for help was dangerous or “weak.” Life, trauma, people, the dominant culture we live under, or a combination, separated you from your very first instinct. If this sounds like you, congratulations on taking the very first step to return home to yourself by asking for help. Whether you seek relief from things that haunt you or from things others have been unable or unwilling to help with, know that I am here to help.

Our culture often dismisses traumatic experiences, and you may have felt alone because of it. No matter who you decide to work with, you are not alone. You deserve a therapist who is nonjudgmental, curious, and centers you as the expert of your experience. I strive to embody these qualities with my clients, and I also prioritize authenticity in sessions. Together, we can explore patterns that helped you survive and no longer serve you. We will always go at your pace.

Who am I?

Hi, I’m Hannah. I think our culture does a good job at making us believe something is “wrong” with us. While I have worked with clients with a vast range of symptoms and experiences, the underlying belief is usually the same: something is wrong with me. Mental health symptoms are often stigmatized and misunderstood by friends and family. If you are seeking support despite these beliefs, congratulations on your courageous first step.

You may feel isolated or alone in your experience. It is often very scary to open up to a stranger, no matter how many degrees or certificates the stranger has. You deserve a therapist who is nonjudgmental, curious, and centers you as the expert of your experience. I strive to embody these qualities with my clients, and I also prioritize authenticity in sessions. Your progress will be dependent on how comfortable you feel in our relationship, and I always welcome feedback.

I am IFS informed. I am experienced with grief and loss, end of life, trauma, depression, anxiety, mania, as well as psychotic features. I love working with clients who may not have felt seen by other therapists in the past and help them accomplish their goals with renewed vigor.
